This is a class routine from the beginning of time by Megan that I still love. Post #43 to be exact. Enjoy a little “Throwback Thursday”!
Many ask how to keep it 90% in the TL. This is one way we’ve found that starts class off in the target language and is student led. Once they are using the language, I find that it keeps ME in the language.

Purchase “La Bienvenida” from the Mercado for 5 different units.
I started doing this 2 years ago when I came across it on your site and I LOVE IT!! Thank you for all the wonderful ideas 🙂
Awesome! It is also something I’ve used over many years. I’ve updated it for my classes so we have a new set of questions for each unit. Have you added any twists to it?
I would love to try this out this year! I’m looking for some feedback though. I already do a traditional bell work activity that is displayed on the board as I go around and check in students’ homework. Any suggestions on how to incorporate your bienvenida with my routine?! Gracias 🙂
