Here’s another age appropriate way for students to pick up new vocabulary and practice reading. Print the slides or put it on the overhead and let them figure things out! This works well with partners or with individuals writing what they know on a white board. Have fun!
Practice reading skills with Valentine’s Tweets
I was wondering where do you find these tweets?
Twitter has a search feature to find other people, but you can also type in key words you want to see used in tweets. Whatever my unit may be, I can search key phrases for that unit and find 100’s of people using it in context. (There are definitely some inappropriate but that is why we take just the tweets we think are best).
Do you ask them questions based on what they read? What do they do with the tweets?
