If you use iPads, laptops, or teach in a place where students are allowed to use their own phones and technology – this post is for you!

Edmond is having their annual online conference on Wednesday, August 6. It starts at 7:00 am PDT and runs until 6 pm PDT. Nic Borg, one of the company’s founders, will kickoff the event and guest speakers from around the world jumping in to talk about how they use tech in the classroom. Over 27,000 educators are already signed up! Here’s the link if you’d like to get your name on the list or just check it out…https://edmodocon.com/2014/.

I’m excited to see if there will be any new updates or options revealed at EdmodoCon. Either way, I know I’ll definitely pick up some new ideas from listening to others!  I’ve used Edmodo for two years now and it has been a great way to collect speaking samples, videos, projects, and pictures from the iPads. (Before that, students would email me their work – from unidentifiable email address with no name and no subject line and I would have to try to organize them into class folders…shew… I’m getting a headache just thinking about it!) I hoping to learn better ways to incorporate the community aspect of this tool (INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION). Wouldn’t it be great to allow all language classes at a school or district connect to the same conversations? Better yet, connect with native speakers in schools around the world?

Oh, the possibilities!
